About This Spot

Stepping into Mi Li Cafe feels like finding a quiet, welcoming corner of Vietnam right in the heart of Columbus. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where the pace slows a little, inviting you to savor the rhythm of gentle conversation and the subtle hum of a kitchen crafting familiar, comforting dishes. The atmosphere wraps around you like a soft shawl — unpretentious, warm, and filled with the kind of honest anticipation only good food can bring.

The space hums quietly but steadily, a cozy refuge from the city's bustle. It’s clear from the mix of regulars and new visitors alike that this is a place where people come not just for a meal but for a shared experience — the kind that settles in as much in the memories as on the palate. The friendly smiles at the front and the rhythmic clatter from the kitchen guests like a warm invitation to linger without rushing.

Here, the food is a gentle celebration of Vietnamese tradition, presented with care and comfort. Bowls of pho arrive steaming, rich with the unmistakable scent of simmered herbs and tender cuts of beef, offering a quiet kind of joy that speaks to the soul of the dish. Beyond the broth, fresh summer rolls and crisp egg rolls add lightness and texture, while the banh mi sandwiches offer just the right balance of soft bread and savory filling, crafted with thoughtful precision.

On the drink side, whether it’s a chilled glass of iced coffee or a whimsically sweet bubble tea, these beverages feel like a small, refreshing pause — a moment to take your time and savor the present. And the thoughtful details, like the house-made sauces and perfectly balanced condiments, reveal the kind of care that elevates a routine meal into something quietly memorable.

It’s a place where the experience feels deeply rooted in shared moments — friends catching up over familiar flavors, newcomers discovering something gently new, and everyone finding a corner to call their own. Mi Li Cafe comfortably blends tradition with a welcoming space, creating a gentle, steady heartbeat in Columbus’s vibrant dining scene.

Placed an order for carry out pho on a Sunday afternoon and it was ready in 10 min. Very authentic Vietnamese food, everyone in the back was asian (which is generally a great sign) and several parties of other Asians walked in at the same time as myself (which is double whammy guaranteed authentic good food)… and it was exactly that. Good portions, reasonable pricing, authentic, broth was a little on the sweeter side but still really good. Will be back.

As pho lovers, this place is the best I’ve found in Columbus so far. The herbs are spot on, reminding me of the many pho spots I’ve tried in Little Saigon, CA. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu! In the picture: Combination Pho, Egg Rolls and Vietnamese coffee. The waiters are very friendly and full of smiles.

Food has been consistent. Got the pho dac biet and banh mi. Pho was hot and tastes very well. And the banh mi was just the right amount of pate and flavor to the sub. Has the right amount of toast. Been coming here for almost a decade. Will return for more!

The pho ingredients were very fresh. The broth lacked some flavor but the bahn mi was amazing- the bread was perfect. Excellent service. They were out of boba but the blended strawberry drink was delicious. No wait but they were packed!

Pho was good, especially the beef broth. We will certainly return here. I returned yesterday, even better this time. We tried the shrimp spring rolls and they were also great. My son had the sandwich also excellent.

10/10! Everything was excellent. We got the Pho Dac Biet, egg rolls, bahn mi and ice coffee. I've had Houng's, Tai's, Paris Bahn Mi, and GC Pho. This place is the best IMO. Broth was flavorful, I love the tendon and culantro as a topping. The egg roll filling was so good. It was pretty busy but service was still fast, friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go back!!
